Find the Best Surf Spots. Don’t Get Lost!

You’ve got the Four wheel drive truck. Your new Channel Islands K-small in the back. The sun is shining, your tunes are pumping on the IPOD. Your Bro’s are yelling out the window at drunk locals. And… pretty soon you’re lost. Think you can find all the spots on your own? Maybe, but having a good map or guide in the car is always smart.

Costa Rica is a fairly easy to get around, but I guarantee you will blow right past some of the best surf spots and not even know it, if you don’t have a map. Come on… Spent $15 bucks and show up prepared to amaze and dazzle your crew with your “local” knowledge. Remember, you can always use your broken Spanglish to talk to the locals. People always appreciate it when you at least try. Remember also that you’re not the first surfer dude to blow through town and a lot of people have been asked before, probably lived there their whole life, and speak better Inglesa that you. Don’t be afraid to talk to the local people, they are the best part about the place.
